The 6Lab Method
The 6 in 6Lab stands for six areas of development we build every week. It grew from a simple belief: exposure matters.
Six areas. One curious kid.
Every child works across all six areas every week. Not because every child will become an engineer or a scientist, but because questioning, building, experimenting, troubleshooting, creating, and collaborating are tools they can carry into almost anything they choose to do.
How the pieces connect
The Method is a philosophy, not a menu of activities. Each part strengthens the others.
Academic support comes first, not last
Every day starts with Academic Studio time: homework finished, questions answered, study skills practiced. Confidence in the basics is what frees a child to explore everything else.
Curiosity is a skill we practice
Labs are built around real questions: why does dough rise, how does a robot know where it is, what makes a bridge strong? Asking why is the habit everything else grows from.
Building teaches resilience
Engineering and making mean designing, testing, failing, and trying again. Recovering when something does not work is a life skill disguised as a robotics project.
Technology and creativity belong together
Coding sits next to art supplies on purpose. Kids learn that technology is a creative material, something you make with, not just something you consume.
Practical skills count
Cooking, measuring, planning, collaborating, presenting: the Monday Food Science Lab and group projects build skills children use at home the same week.
Collaboration in a small group
A truly small cohort means every child participates, every voice is heard, and teamwork is real rather than theoretical.
βMy goal isnβt to decide what a child should become. Itβs to give them more skills, more exposure, and more possibilities as they figure that out for themselves.β
