Pillar 1 · Every day
The Academic Studio
Homework done. Questions answered. Small wins that stack up. Academic confidence is where every 6Lab afternoon starts.
Why it comes first
Exploration only works when a child is not carrying school stress into it. The Studio clears the decks: homework finished with real support, concepts untangled, tomorrow's quiz less scary.
It is structured, personal, and small. In a cohort this size the Program Director knows what each child is working on, where they get stuck, and what kind of encouragement actually lands. Parents can send specific requests, like "fractions before Friday," and see them picked up.

What Studio time looks like
Homework, actually finished
Daily dedicated time with an adult who can explain, not just supervise. Work goes home done.
Targeted skill-building
When homework is light, we practice what each child needs: multiplication fluency, paragraph structure, note-taking.
Parent-requested focus
Enrolled families can send Academic Studio requests (a topic, an assignment, an upcoming test) through the 6Lab parent app.
In the 6Lab Method, academic confidence is the foundation the other five areas build on. A child who feels capable in schoolwork brings that same confidence to the STEM Lab and the Culinary Lab.
